From July 1, 2021 you will be asked to provide 3-G evidence when visiting Hochosterwitz Castle. This allows a visit without a mask, so you can explore and enjoy the Hochosterwitz Castle carefree.
Armory, the weapons collection and the interesting collection of pictures from the Renaissance period bear witness to the history of this unique fortification. In addition to the possibility of climbing through the historically interesting 14 castle gates, you can also reach the castle with the Fürst-Max-Bahn. An extensive cultural program with concerts, picture exhibitions and festivals invites the visitor to discover the castle in all its diversity. In the castle restaurant, visitors are spoiled with local Carinthian cuisine. In addition to the interesting museum and the culinary offer, you can also immerse yourself in the world of medieval handicrafts at the castle.
